Xiaomi has just announced three new smart TVs in India after the success of its smart TV 4-series in India. During a product launch, Xiaomi has launched the Mi LED TV 4 Pro (55-inch), Mi LED TV 4A Pro (49-inch), Mi LED TV 4C Pro (32-inch) in India, all of which comes with voice search integration, Xiaomi's custom PatchWall UI and more.

Mi LED TV 4 Pro, Mi LED TV 4A Pro, Mi LED TV 4C Pro feature voice search in the new Bluetooth remote. The new 11-button remote comes integrated with Google Voice through which users can navigate the user interface via voice commands.It should be noted that Xiaomi's custom PatchWall UI has been specifically customised for Indian users and the Mi LED TV 4 Pro, Mi LED TV 4A Pro, Mi LED TV 4C Pro runs Android TV (Android Oreo 8.1) out-of-the-box while all of them comes with a physical button on the TV remote for switching between interfaces.

The Mi LED TV 4 Pro which comes with a 55-inch display is priced at Rs. 49,999 and it will go on sale via Flipkart and Mi.com on October 10 at 12 pm. On the other hand, the Mi LED TV 4A Pro, which comes with a 49-inch display, is priced at Rs. 29,999 and it will go on sale via Flipkart and Mi.com on October 9 at 9 pm. The lower-end Mi LED TV 4C Pro, which comes with a 32-inch display, is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will go on sale alongside the Mi TV 4A Pro.

The Mi LED TV 4 Pro comes with a 55-inch 4K HDR frameless display, 20W stereo speakers with DTS-HD, Mali-450 graphics coupled with AmLogic 64-bit quad-core processor with 7th-gen imaging technology. Other features of the device include Bluetooth 4,2, Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.2 support and single-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz). There are also an S/PDIF port, three HDMI ports, and 2 USB port while the Mi LED TV 4 Pro includes 2GB RAM/ 8GB of inbuilt storage.

The Mi LED TV 4A Pro comes with a 49-inch 1080p full-HD "Ultra Bright" display with HDR support, 20W stereo speakers with DTS-HD, Mali-450 graphics coupled with AmLogic 64-bit quad-core processor with 7th-gen imaging technology. Other features of the device include Bluetooth 4,2, Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.2 support and single-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz). There are also an S/PDIF port, three HDMI ports, and 2 USB port while the Mi LED TV 4 Pro includes 2GB RAM/ 8GB of inbuilt storage.

Other features of the device include Bluetooth 4,2, Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.2 support and single-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz). There are also an S/PDIF port, three HDMI ports, and 2 USB port while the Mi LED TV 4 Pro includes 1GB RAM/ 8GB of inbuilt storage.

All the three TVs come with Android TV which includes Google Play Store, built-in Chromecast support, YouTube, Play Music and more. PatchWall experience will be added to the Mi LED TV lineup in the coming months.

UTraQ: India's first own ‘desi’ GPS module launched..

India is set its own GPS system named UTraQ, the module is the first to get feeds from India Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS). IRNSS is an independent, indigenously developed satellite navigation system fully planned, established and controlled by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). An India-based semiconductor distribution company has launched country’s first ever ‘desi’ GPS module. Today at an event in New Delhi, Ramakrishna Electro Component Pvt Ltd announced a new kind of Vehicle Tracking System that will run on Indian Satellites, and not on US Satellites.

The NavIC system is said to have its origin in Kargil War of 1991 when the US government rejected Indian Army's request for GPS data for the region. The Kargil experience is said to have made the nation realise the importance of Desi GPS system
The company has launched Vehicle Tracking System under ‘Utraq’ brand. This system will replace the currently in-use GPS application that is working on US satellites.

Most GPS applications like VTS (vehicle tracking system) were dependent on GPS (USA) and GLONASS (Russia), Commenting on the launch, Shivang Luthra, Managing Director REC said that Utraq will be changing the way tracking has been done in the past. Utraq launched two models L100 and L110. These are GPS receivers Modules based on IRNSS supported by GAGAN/NaviC signals, designed using L5 and S bands.
This module is IRNSS compliant for VTS application. IRNSS is Govt of India initiative under ISRO. IRNSS User Receiver module is integrated with front-end chipset and embedded high performance ARM9 processor from leading chipset manufacturer. It has internal S RAM, UART, USB, CAN and 10 Bit ADCs.

Mass production will happen in India after the successful penetration in the Indian Region under Make In India program. Today’s launch event was attended by Executive Director of ISRO’s commercial arm Antrix, Suma DR, Shanghai Mobiletek Managing Director, Sherry Xu, and Ramakrishna Group Chairman, Satish Luthra
The GPS system's chipset is being manufactured by Rama Krishna Electro Pvt. Ltd and Shanghai MobileTek,Will help travellers and hikers get more accurate and detailed location feed.This system will replace the currently in use GPS application that is working on US Satellites.

⏺️Method 1: OTA update
Download the Moto G5S (Plus) OTA zip file.Transfer the file to phone’s internal storage. Go to Settings > apps Provide storage permission to Motorola Update Services app. Check for OTA updates from Settings. The package will be automatically detected and system upgraded.

⏺️Method 2: Stock Recovery

Download the Moto G5S (Plus) OTA update zip file. Transfer the file to phone’s internal storage or sdcard ( in /sdcard/ ). Turn off your phone completely. Reboot into recovery mode. Press and hold Power + Volume down/up for a few seconds. (not TWRP) From stock recovery, select “apply update from sdcard” Select OTA zip file.

Kerala Floods: Before-After Of Damage: NASA Satellite

Kerala's devastation is stark in the two images shared by NASA.

The floods in Kerala and Karnataka have been one of the top stories in India, and the devastation caused by it has reportedly claimed the lives of more than 300+ people, and destroyed property worth crores. NASA has now given us some perspective on the devastation and extent of the floods, and shared before and after images on its website showing the sheer extent of damages.

    Among the two images, the one that shows the state before the flood is dated February 6, 2018, and the one that shows the condition after the floods is dated August 22, 2018. The earlier photo was taken by the Landsat 8 satellite’s operational land imager, while the later one was taken by the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-2 satellite.

    The damage, as one would expect, is extensive and the difference is stark when one looks at the two images. While the earlier image shows the Karuvannur and Periyar rivers and the farm lands around it. The farm lands are all submerged in the second image, which corroborates reports of 40 villages being washed off by the floods, and even 2.2 km stretch of land that connected two expressways seem to have been washed off.

    The images have been rendered in false color to make sure that the flooded areas with water are easily distinguishable. Apart from the reported casualties, there are as many as 462,456 people who have been displaced, and have taken up shelter in 1,435 camps across the state. Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, has reported that the state has suffered an estimated financial loss of almost Rs 20,000 crore, and has asked the Central Government for aid.
